Text | "In the Name of God Amen March the 23d. 1707/8 I George Huntington of Town and County of Kingston upon Hull Mariner being well in bodily health and of good and sound understanding and perfect memory praised be Almighty God for it bound to sea on a voyage to Holland and calling to mind the certainty of death but not the time I make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following And first and principally I comitt my Soul to God that gave it hoping through the merits of Christ for a glorious Resurrection and my Body to the Earth from whence it came to be decently buried if God permitt And for my Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this world I give devise and bequeath the same in manner and form following First I devise and bequeath unto my welbeloved Wife Mary Huntington for her Life my House or Tenement with the Yard or all other Appurtenances thereunto belonging in a Street called the South Ropery in the Town abovementioned And further I give devise and bequeath unto my Wife my three Lands with the grasing thereunto belonging lying on the south side of a Feild within the Territories of Burringham in the County of Lincoln called Nessefeilds To have and to hold during the Term of her Life after to my lawfull Heirs to such Child or Children as my Wife is now supposed to be with and to their lawfull Heirs for Ever and for want of such Heirs I give devise and bequeath all the forementioned House and Lands to my well beloved Neices Lucy Marsingall and Anne Marsingall after the Death of my Wife and such Heirs to be equally divided betwixt them and to their lawfull Heirs And to my loving Sister Anne Marsingall as a Legacy I bequeath one Guinea And to my loving Sister Priscilla Brownley I bequeath one Guinea to be paid by my welbeloved Mary Huntington at my Decease she being appointed by me to be my sole Executor and this I affirm to be my last Will and Testament revoking and disannulling all others whatsoever Witness my hand the Day and Year aforementioned George Huntington Sealed and delivered in presence of Peter Thornton & Ralph Hall." | |
